Easter Morning

We were able to enjoy some family time and enjoy our Easter Quiche. Julie gave me the recipe a couple of years ago. Last year, I accidently added too much dry mustard (8 teaspoons instead of 1/8 of a teaspoon...YUCK!), but I didn't make that same mistake this year. The Easter bunny didn't hide any baskets in the oven either. A couple of years ago I preheated the oven and started melting Dominique's basket and candy. Luckily, we saw it before his Easter chocolate melted.

Both sets of grandparents sent the kids an Easter package. They were all very thrilled with the fun package, but Dreyton was especially excited about money in the Easter eggs. The toys kept them occupied all day. Dominique is holding a foam dart gun. The boys were chasing each other through the house and causing a lot of commotion.

Dreyton found a football in his basket, and Dominique found a squishy ball. The football glows in the dark and sometimes scares me when I go check on the boys at night. I swear it looks like Jack Nicholson in The Shining (HERE'S JOHNNY!!!)
Grandma Lott made the girls some matching pajamas. Jasmine wanted a shirt that said, "I love Troy." He is the heart throb from High School Musical. Jyllian received a pair of jammies, and her shirt says, "I love dad." Now if we can just keep her in clothing with that kind of wording throughout high school maybe the boys will leave her alone. Jyllian was thrilled to have matching pajamas with her sister.

Jyllian was taste testing each piece of candy and leaving the ones she didn't like on the couch. It was great finding sticky candy and chocolate melted on the couch. She was thouroughly enjoying the Dora bubbles and Jasmine really liked the water gun launcher.

We hope all of our family and friends throughout the country had a wonderful Easter as we celebrated the resurrection of our Savior.

Jasmine's Birthday

These are some pictures we took of Jasmine on her birthday. I met a lady at her gymastics class that has an embroidery machine. She placed Jasmine's name on her shirt and her inital on her shorts and shoes. I would love to have a sewing machine with many features one day.

Jasmine and Jyllian are displaying the new build-a-bear outfits she received for her birthday from mom and dad.

Jasmine is showing off her new bike. She wanted a bigger bike for her birthday. It was time for a 20" bike, but it makes me a little nervous to watch her ride. She's a little wobbly and her feet barely reach the ground.

Here we have Dreyton demonstrating his great pogo stick abilities. Although, Dominique is not in the picture, he can do the pogo stick with no hands.

Jasmine had her friend Morgan spend the night. Morgan is our next door neighbor and lately they have become inseperable. Morgan's mom bought them matching pajamas (notice Hannah Montana on the front). Jasmine loves Hannah Montana and enjoys watching the Disney channel every night. I think Grandma Lott really likes Hannah Montana as well.

Catching up

Since I started blogging, I thought I should put up some of the pictures we have had taken over the last several months prior to me being "converted" to blog-ism (or is it blog-ology??) by that kooky sister-in-law of mine.
This first one makes us worried as we see our 2 year old already primed and ready for her 16th birthday to get some car keys.
Fortunately, we were able to convince Dominique that his hair really needed a cut.
The kids love the tub that we elderly people never use in the master bath. It takes FOREVER for the bubbles to drain out after they are done.

Here we are at Yellowstone this past summer with Old man Peterson and his much younger wife. We love traveling in the Peterson-mobile motorhome! No, we didn't pick up a mini-hitch hiker. That little girl clutching the simulated wildlife is our niece, Amandacita.

Dominique and Dreyton were able to return to da Lou (STL) in September and see some of their best friends, Evan and Nick. They really miss you guys.
This one is in our front yard for the first day of school for our 1st and 4th graders. We are just so grateful to have an older sibling to show "enthusiasm for education" for our little princess.
As scary as the witch in this picture might appear, it is the crying baby that scares the poop out of me when she cries at 2 in the morning.

Pumpkin patch celebration Florida country style!
Here is the family at Dinseyworld on one of our visits. One of the conditions of us moving to Florida was that we would get some season passes to my favorite place!

I know I need to get some more recent photos up here soon, so stay tuned!

Day at Cococay Beach in the Bahamas

So don't try to find Cococay on any atlas that you own. It is not in there. It is privately owned by Royal Carribean, and it is a small island in the Bahamas where we spent a day while on our cruise. This is a picture of us in front of our ship.

Our Cruise

We recently spent a few days with some good friends from our STL neighborhood and ward while at sea. Thanks to Melissa and Ryan for making the whole Valentine's Day cruise possible! We enjoyed snorkling at the beach, climbing the rock wall on board the ship, touring Key West, spending time with each other and friends, and did you know they feed you quite well on these types of trips? Although we missed our 4 sweet and loving children while we were away, we knew Grandma Peterson was taking excellent care of them (even if it cost us a few bucks to bribe them to behave for grandma...money well-spent, I might add). The above picture is of me with my fashionable headgear, and the second picture demonstrates my prowess in scaling tall buildings in a single (or multiple) bound! I am the one on the left, by the way. The last picture is Donovan, me, Tiffany & Damen Caraway, Melissa & Ryan Rich, and Erin & Darren Rodabough (AKA our entire STL crew).
